Saturday 1/29 and Sunday 1/30: Students at all weekend Masses to pass out prayer cards.
If your child attends Mass at our church this weekend, PLEASE ensure they dress in formal “School Mass Attire” to show their support for Catholic Schools Week!
Monday 1/31:Mayor’s Proclamation and 100th day of school – The students can wear a JLCCS spirit shirt or a created 100th day shirt.
We will begin our day by gathering in the gym right after announcements for the Divine Mercy Chaplet. The Mayor of Corsicana, Don Denbow, will deliver a Proclamation about Catholic Schools Week at JLCCS. PK-1st grade students will participate in 100th day activities.
Tuesday 2/1: JLCCS At Your Service Part I - Wear colorful socks and scarves today.
Day of giving - Support James L. Collins Catholic School through our Day of Giving on February 1st at 11am.
Go here to donate today! PK will collect gently used & clean stuffed animals for the Corsicana Police Department; 3rd grade will bring items for the Corsicana Animal Shelter which will be delivered by them the following week; and students in grades 4-8 will take turns helping at the Boys & Girls Club throughout the day.
Wednesday 2/2: JLCCS At Your Service Part II - We take our hats off for others! All students may wear an appropriate hat or cap to school.
Kindergarten and 1st grade will be going to the public library to help clean and straighten books and enjoy story time from 9:00 – 10:30 AM; 2nd graders will visit Twilight Nursing Home to deliver Valentines and enjoy lunch out from 1100-1:30 PM.
Thursday 2/3: Clash Day - Wear your mismatched outfits.
Students will have a chance to visit with a seminarian today. (1st-3rd 10:30-11, 4-5th 11-11:30, 6-8th 11:30-12) All students will write a letter to their parents thanking them for the opportunity to have a faith-based education at James L. Collins Catholic School. Older students will write a thank you note to the seminarian who visited, Deacon Lewis Palos, and Father Juan Carlos for their service to the parish and school.
Friday 2/4: Catholic Schools are a SLAM DUNK! - Wear spirit shirt and jeans.

The Navarro College Basketball team will assist the 8th graders during the game.
