We invite to attend one of our on campus events (Open House, Preview Day, Pre-K Meet and Greet, Touring Tuesday, Meet Us Mondays, Be a Bear Day, or a private tour). Afterwards, we will send you our link to complete your online application.
An application must be submitted online and be accompanied by a non-refundable application fee of $25. Applications are taken for available spaces only. Others will be placed on a waiting list and the applicant will be notified should a vacancy occur. Once an applicant is accepted, families will fill out their enrollment paperwork and pay a $100 non-refundable registration fee.
Applicants may be required to participate in a screening process prior to placement into the class. Middle school applicants are required to participate in a personal interview with the principal and/or admissions testing. Prior to admission, a transfer student must present academic records for review.
Admissions to James L. Collins Catholic School are based upon the availability of space, scholastic qualifications, and resources available to meet student needs. If a grade level needs to be adjusted after acceptance, a conference will be held with the parents. Collins Catholic School reserves the right to test incoming students to determine the most appropriate grade placement in the best interest of the student. Collins Catholic School reserves the right to review and evaluate all new students regarding conduct and behavior from their previous school(s). Students enrolling in Pre-K must be toilet trained prior to the start of the school year.
Pre-K (3): A child entering Pre-Kindergarten 3 will be three (3) years of age on or before September 1st of the current school year.
Pre-K (4): A child entering Pre-Kindergarten 4 will be four (4) years of age on or before September 1st of the current school year.
Kindergarten: A child entering Kindergarten will be five (5) years of age on or before September 1st of the current school year.
Please recognize that this directive complies with state law and there are no exceptions. The child’s birth certificate is required for verification of age.

All families currently enrolled in the school must re-register each year. Families who fail to meet any and all financial obligations or uphold standards of James L. Collins Catholic School may be denied re-admission.
For new students, please be prepared to submit the following information to the school office upon completion:
A birth certificate and social security number must be presented. For a Catholic child, if the baptism is not recorded in the Immaculate Conception Church register, a baptismal certificate should be presented.
Immunization records are required for all students. If immunization documentation is not current, the student will be sent home until all immunizations have been received and proper documentation is presented to the school. There are no exceptions to this regulation. The Diocese of Dallas does not accept immunization exemptions.
New students requesting admittance to grades 2-8 must present his/her most recent report card or, in the case of late entries, a report card for the current year and a social security number. Current test results and a report card are also required for transfer students.
