Financial Aid is available to assist families with the cost of tuition and is based solely on need. There are currently four sources of financial aid available to James L Collins Catholic School families:
Diocese of Dallas Education Endowment Trust - The Charles and Elaine Sammons Tuition Assistance Fund, of the Dallas Diocesan Education Endowment Trust, is established for the purpose of providing tuition assistance to parents who desire to educate their children in a Catholic elementary and/or secondary school owned and operated by the Diocese of Dallas or one its parishes. Financial aid is available to eligible students accepted for admission and enrolled at one of these schools whose families can demonstrate the need for financial assistance in order to afford a Catholic school education. The funds are limited. Diocese of Dallas Education Endowment Trust Information
James L. Collins Tuition Assistance Program – Current students or those that have been accepted and have registered may apply online.
There is no additional fee if you paid the $25 fee to FACTS for the Diocese of Dallas scholarship – you can apply for both on the same application. Applications are due March 31st and awards will be made in early May.
Pastor's Guild Scholarship – The Pastor’s Guild was created to provide supplemental financial assistance for current students enrolled in James L Collins Catholic School. Each applicant must submit the required essay by the due date and awards will be made in mid-April. For more information contact the church or school offices.
Jethsuby Scholarship Fund – Dr. and Mrs. Mauricio Delgado established The Jethsuby Scholarship Fund under The Catholic Foundation in December 2009 to provide Hispanic students a solid foundation for their lives through a Catholic education. The fund was named after a very smart, positive and happy child named Jethsuby, the son of Mexican immigrants and one of Dr. Delgado’s patients. Jethsuby died unexpectedly at the young age of 11. Recognizing that there are many Hispanic children who can benefit from attending a Catholic school, the Fund was founded to give these children the opportunity to fulfill their own potential in Jethsuby's memory.
The Catholic Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications for The Jethsuby Scholarship Fund for the 2022-2023 school year. The fund will provide scholarships of up to 50% of the in-parish tuition rate, depending on financial need, to Hispanic students attending or planning to attend JLCCS in the Diocese of Dallas.

The application is available at: www.jethsuby.org
Once the application is completed, the applicant’s family will need to send it with the required documentation to The Jethsuby Scholarship Fund at The Catholic Foundation, 12222 Merit Drive, Suite 850, Dallas, Texas, 75251, or via fax 972-661-0140 or email lscheets@catholicfoundation.com.
