Catholic Schools Week: January 25 - January 31, 2020

Saturday 1/25 and Sunday 1/26-Weekend Masses- Representation of the students of the school in all masses and to distribute prayer cards. If your child attends Mass at our church this weekend, please make sure they dress up with formal "School Mass Outfits" to show their support for Catholic Schools Week!
Monday 1/27- The Proclamation of Catholic Schools Week. Students will write a letter to their parents thanking them for the opportunity to have an education a faith-based education at James L. Collins Catholic School. Older students will help their "Care Bear" write the letters for their parents and return to class to write their own.
Tuesday 1/28 – Come celebrate with us! All volunteers, teachers, SAC, PTC and donors please join us for a reception in the library starting at 10:00 a.m. JLCCS's Open House 4:30-6:00 p.m. Current and prospective families are invited to tour our school, meet our faculty and learn more about our innovative mission and curriculum.
Wednesday 1/29- "JLCCS at your service Part I": Kinder and 1st will go to the Library to help clean and straighten books from 10:00 to 10:45 am, also to enjoy story time. 2nd and 3rd will go to the nursing homes to deliver Valentine's cards from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
Thursday 1/30- "JLCCS At your service Part II": 4th -5th grade students will deliver treats to the DPS office and go to the Salvation Army from 9:00 to 10:00, 6th – 7th will deliver treats to the fire station on 2nd and go to the Salvation Army from 10:00 to 11:30. 8th grade will go to the Hope Center from 1:00 to 3:00pm.
Friday 1/31- Mass 8:15 a.m. Basketball Tournament: Battle of the Hallways between 7th and 8th" (Starts at 9:45 a.m. in the Gym!) The Navarro College basketball team will participate with students during the game.
