Tuition Assistance & Scholarships
Since children spend so many of their waking hours at school, their school can play a significant role in shaping them as a person. At JLCCS we offer smaller class sizes, foster a strong and healthy sense of community, and create servant leadership opportunities thereby helping your child develop as an individual. Though there are many ways you can invest in your child's future from sports to dance lessons, investing in a high-quality Catholic education infused with virtues will last a lifetime and beyond.
Tuition assistance is available to assist families with the cost of tuition. There are currently several sources of tuition assistance available to James L Collins Catholic School families.
Families new to JLCCS should complete their FACTS application by March 15th. When completing your FACTS application, be prepared to upload your tax documentation, including W2s.
Diocesan Tuition Assistance
Diocese of Dallas Education Endowment Trust
The Dallas Diocesan Education Endowment Trust is established for the purpose of providing tuition assistance to parents who desire to educate their children in a Catholic elementary and/or secondary school owned and operated by the Diocese of Dallas or one its parishes. Financial aid is available to eligible students accepted for admission and enrolled at one of these schools whose families can demonstrate the need for financial assistance in order to afford a Catholic school education. The funds are limited.
The HALO Initiative
The HALO Initiative supports Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Dallas in getting students to college & heaven by coordinating the distribution of need-based tuition assistance to students in diocesan schools. They believe that Catholic education changes lives & improves communities, and that a family’s ability to pay should not limit their access to a better life through one of our Catholic Schools. When you apply for tuition assistance through FACTS, you’re applying for both tuition assistance from HALO and from your school.
Jethsuby Scholarship Fund
Dr. and Mrs. Mauricio Delgado established The Jethsuby Scholarship Fund under The Catholic Foundation in December 2009 to provide Hispanic students a solid foundation for their lives through a Catholic education. The fund was named after Jethsuby, the son of Mexican immigrants and one of Dr. Delgado’s patients. The Catholic Foundation accepts scholarship applications annually for The Jethsuby Scholarship Fund.
Additional Tuition Support
ACE Scholarships
ACE Scholarships was founded in 2000 to provide low-income parents with the freedom to choose the K-12 schools that are best for their children. The founders’ vision was powerful but simple: that all children have access to great schools. Families that are eligible for an Ace Scholarship, should go online.
Applications are due April 15th.
